As a rule of thumb, to save you time later, we recommend to import the employee data first & only then adjust settings as this would allow you to apply settings for specific groups of employees straight away (based on teams, positions, employment status, etc.). Follow the order outlined below.
Stage 1. Import employee data ⤴️
Employee records can be added individually or uploaded in bulk. The bulk upload is recommended when employee count is greater than 10 & it won't send out welcome emails, giving you time to set up.
Stage 2. Adjusting settings ⚙️
The steps you need to take during this stage will depend on your internal processes & the modules selected. But before jumping into adjusting settings we recommend to start with outlining for yourself which of your existing processes you want to replicate & which ones to improve.
When you have that ready, first adjust company & employee data related settings. These are the sections you should look at:
